This was also written in that review:

''The sound quality stays on a very high level, but it’s important to see that Nokia N81 is not a music-oriented flagship of the company, and the real hi-end music device will hit the shelf in the beginning of 2008''

Wich mobile was he talking about?

thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I was under the impression that this was the music flagship phone for nokia. everything i've heard about this phone is that in regards to music, it surpasses anything that nokia has released to date... Although, I'm sure nokia has many more interesting things in store for us, as far as time frames though, i think it is just hearsay...

Yes i think the same , maybee some follow up for N91 ? Im only hear that N81 is a great musicphone ,like Symbian guru type in his review >

The music is nice and loud through the stereo speakers on the N81 8GB, with plenty of optimization options, including an equaliser and three visualization options (four if you count album art, which I don't). You can still use the d-pad to control the music, or you can use the dedicated music playback keys. There's also a nice new screensaver called "Now Playing" that includes a bar showing the currently playing track title, and it changes color. The time is still too small to be useful, but it's a nice touch.
Once the music is playing, you have three options to listen: built-in speakers, 3.5mm jack for external speakers or headphones or whatever, and stereo Bluetooth. The built-in speakers are loud,

All in all, I'd say the music experience with the Nokia N81 8GB is superb. The quality is great, music organization is awesome, and there's plenty of storage available. For a killer music experience, I'd say the N81 8GB fits the bill nicely.

Hi there. I am new to the forum. I'm posting from Greece. Here the phone isn't yet available.
I am greately interested to get a N81 (the microSD version) and I was wondering if I could ask a question or two.

1) Is anyone of you aware if there is a problem with the time/date with the incoming sms??? I wish to remind you that several 3rd Editon phones (e.g. N73, N80, N95), when you have the phone turned off (or at the offline profile) and someone sends you an sms, when you turn the phone back on, the incoming sms has wrong time/date in it. Instead of showing you the time that the sender sent you the message, the phone shows the time/date you turned the phone on. Is this the case with the N81??? Has anyone checked this???

2) Which is the correct SAR for each of the two versions (8GB and microSD)??? The official Nokia site (http://sar.nokia.com) shows 3 kinds of SAR: 0.81W/Kg, 0.96W/Kg and 1.15W/Kg. Which is which???

Thanks in advance and sorry if this isn' t the correct thread to post these questions.
